My dad's TA won't blow cold air. I used a recharge kit on it today, and it was low of refridgerant, but that didn't help. Filled it up to the same pressure my car has.

Any ideas? I don't know if there is common problem to look for or what.

 Same here, I've used mine like 3 times in the 2 years I've had the car. But my dad is not as tolerant to the heat as I am anymore. lol

Oh well I was just trying to see if it was something I could fix before he takes it into the shop.

Yea I looked around tech. It looks like it could be so many things, and I don't have the equipment for it. So it'll be better off to just let a shop pressure test it, looks for leaks, and test the compressor and such.

Did you turn the ac on to even see if the compressor clutch is kicking on?

I turned it on, but am not exactly sure what to be looking or listening for.

When I was doing the re-charge the compressor seemed to turn on at some point becuase I heard a click and it sounding like it was doing something.

you have to look at the pulley on the compressor. if it looks like the belt is going around it but it's not turning, then it's not engaging. if it is turning, that means it is engaging. a lot of times if a car is real low on freon, it will cycle on and off rapidly
