I was gunna suggest either Belltech or DJM. A friend of mine has 3 or 4 different trucks all with Belltech suspension, and loves the setup. All different drops too. He says the kits are complete, no runnin to the parts house for little odds and ends. The rides are all pretty good.

I run DJM, but not on a GM. Nice kits, consistant drop, good ride.

Bought a Beltech 2/4 drop kit 3 years ago for like 500 bux from stylintrucks.com

nitro2 drop shocks all around, 2" drop springs, shackles and hangers in the back. All bolts and new bump stops included.

4/6 and i can tell you how to drop it that way for about 40 dollars. takes a little welding skill though.

cut your front springs and buy some new leaf perches for your rear axle for about 30 dollars. set your pinion angle and weld the new perches to the axle (flip kit). presto. 3/4 drop that will ride better than any aftermarket kit and the rear end will be set up properly.

On my previouse RCSB and my SS I did a McGaughys? shackle and hanger kit in the back with their keys up from them as well. Real quick and easy gave a solid street stance. bothe where a 3/4 drop. Things might change on my new one, but if i do decide to drop it, I'll do a flip kit in the rear with either my drop spindles or the DJM lower arms and keys for a 4/6 or a 5/7 drop. All three of mine have been 4x4's though.

heating springs is ghetto. cutting them just makes them shorter. what do you thing a drop spring is? its a shorter version, and usually alot stiffer that the OEM springs.

Ill try to get him to laod some pics for me later tonite.

The best lookin one he has is an 86 S10 Blazer, all Belltech, on smooth center rallys. The ride is a little harsh in that one, but its a huge drop so thats expected. Like I said tho, the ride quality still isnt bad.

either do a 2" rear drop with shackles or go for 6" with a flip kit. both are cheap. the shackle hanger setup i had stretched out the leaf spring too much and the ride suffered.

a flip kit will give you a 100% factory ride. nothing changes about your leaf springs except that your axle is now on top instead of under.

then cut the springs to get the front down where you want it. that will keep your ride 100% stock too for free$$$ you can make your own flip kit for 30$ instead of paying djm 200 for a piece of shit kit that i regret now.

if your totally against cutting springs, spindles are probably the next best option but can get pretty pricey and youll lose some turning.

sounds like a good deal. im not against cutting the stock springs some. i would prefer close to stock ride. 20's will prolly be the biggest i will go anyway. i just want to sit lower than stock. without spending too much$$.
