Ugh lots of speculation on a 6.2L Mustangs... Not going to happen... maybe a 3 Valve 5.0... and making like 350 hp...

Now up for discussion...

What you guys think about this 5.0L 3 Valve motor... something to be scared of? Right now sounds like the race is on with the NEW 6.2L 422 LS3 Camaro SS is in the running with the NEW 6.1 425 Challenger...

What you all think?

i dont think it will happen i remember reading about how ford was supposed to be getting away from V8's and replace them with turbo 6's.... but this was a while ago i read this from a unreliable source.....intials MT

5.0L 3-valve seems realistic. But like you said, it'll be nothing worth shaking a stick at unlike the new Charger.

Not worried about it. Ford making a 6.2L is unlikely. At best they'll take the Ford GT motor and use that straight out of the car. But then, what would be the purpose of buying a Shelby? That's what they do.

And if they don't change that look, it's going to go the way of the 4th gen. It'll look mostly the same for 9 years and people are going to quit buying them.

they changed the body i guess from the spy photos but i still think the new mustang should be our cars if i don't then... why bother buying a car brand new and getting spanked still by a older camaro... hmmm

Those pics are actually the Giugiaro concept. Ford brought in an Italian designer for that concept. It really wouldn't surprise me to see a majority of the Giugiaro concept in the production version. Though, I'm sure they'll fix the trunk/hood issues with it so that it opens up properly instead of like a Lamborghini :lol:

You know, give the designer some credit. He did his best to infuse some actual passion into the design of the mustang. Too bad what he had to work with was shit. :D

I don't like the ways mustangs look but I still think what this guy did looks about a billion times better than the shit before it, sans classic 1960's stangs (which were pretty good).

i personally think the new body style mustang is the best one they've come out with. that's with the exception of the one that hasn't been reveiled yet, as i would need to see it to pass judgement.

...and of course the fox runs a close second :thumb:

60's and early 70's Mustangs looked good. But that's about it for me. The rest looked like crap IMO.

You talk like LSx's are god like. I know quite a few people with Integra's and 300zx's that run faster quarter miles than a lot of people with soupd up SS' and z28s. Power to weight ratio. And I like the look of that mustang, it looks way better than the new camaro which looks a hell of a lot like a combination of the charger challenger and mustang.

Me personally, I like my camaro far more than my old mustang or acura. But seriously, why is it always hate?

I wasn't saying anything about our cars being better, and how did imports get drug into a mustang thread? :lol:

Either way, there's a lot to be said about properly tuned import cars. They are quite capable if taken to the right lengths and properly planned out. But the thing is that if the ricers didn't give the tuners a bad name, you might well see more good ones on the street instead of the garbage you see today. And the next time a tuner (not a ricer) tries to tell me that MPG is a performance aspect, I think I'll punch him in the face and walk away. :rofl:
